Lucy Gets Hitched

I thought this little bench I made last year reminded me of the old-west hitching post the cowboys tied their horses to, with a such casual flick of the reins that you wondered why the horses didn't just pull free and wander off.

Anyway, Lucy was a good sport, as always, and posed in the role of the horse.

No shortage of sticks

When we arrived this morning, after a six-month absence, Lucy seemed to remember where she was.

When I commanded Lucy ironically, in a forest full of sticks, "go get your stick", she came back with a well-chewed stick from last year. She knew exactly where she'd left it.

Dogs just don't get irony.
