Another 20ish anniversary redo, from the CD. This one features the closest you will probably get to hearing me do a vocal track. Hoo-ah!
Background source videos are in the public domain, and are found here and here.

Another 20ish anniversary redo, from the CD. This one was actually played on the radio. Just the once, I think, but still.
The background video was found on archive.org and is called Animated Nature of Australia, by dotAtelier (2007). Used under Creative Commons License.

Another 20ish anniversary remake/remodel of one of my old midi files, rescued from oblivion to live on in obscurity. This track was the opener on my CD, in its earlier incarnation. For the background, another slideshow: these are photos of birds taken around our house in 2015.

Another 20ish anniversary redo. Original song from 1995 or 1996, and included on the album. This new version is not dramatically different, didn’t need to mess with it much. But it’s always worth the effort, these redos of old midi files, because in the end I have a viable project file to base any future editing on, or if I want to pirate certain bits for future songs, I can do that more easily now. For the background video, I decided to use a slideshow of pretty much every photo of our garden that I have ever taken (all the keepers at least).

This is either an attempt to base a whole song on the recognizable rhythmic pattern of three short, three long, three short, or else a desperate cry for help on a personal level. Mostly that first thing. Another 20ish anniversary do-over of a song from the album.

Another 20-ish anniversary remake of the first proper track I ever created back in 1995, using my new PowerMac and Opcode Vision, both long since defunct. Still one of my faves. This version gets the complete 21st century reno, as I’ve been doing. The original version is the closing track on my CD Gravitas, available on iTunes and elsewhere. Makes a fun comparison between the original and this one.

Sometimes the fun is not looking for background video that is most appropriate for the song, sometimes the fun is looking for background video that is LEAST appropriate for the song. In other words, don’t overthink it.
In this case, while wandering through archive.org, a 1953 film called “A is for Atom” caught my eye. Nothing to do with Asian Fusion or whatever you’d call this song, but like I said, therein lies the fun.

Another from the vaults, here’s my new twentieth anniversary version of this song from 1996, “Cut & Paste”.
The video background is from a 1983 episode (#10) of a show called “Bits and Bytes” posted by TVOntario on Archive.org, and starring those well-known computer music pioneers Luba Goy and Billy Van (LOL). Okay, maybe not, but they were beloved-ish local TV celebrities, and I’m proud to have them in my little music video.

Here’s a new song called “Jazz From Heck”, a reference to Frank Zappa’s “Jazz From Hell” which it in no way compares to or resembles, except maybe suggesting a lightweight, jauntier version of “G-Spot Tornado”. The background video is from a 1940 cartoon called “The Snow Man”, found on archive.org.
